Actual root folder

Im probably going to seem very dumb for asking something like this, but I have a quick question. Trying to make sure I have the deodexed version of gingerbread on my phone. All the instructions I have read say that once I download to my computer I have to put it on the root of my sdcard. However, I dont see it on here anywhere. There is a slight chance I just havent looked well enough, but if that isnt the case, to fix it would it be as simple as making a new folder and naming it root?

the root of ur sdcard is just not in any folder. the root location will be /sdcard/fileyourelookingfor.zip, and not /sdcard/folder1/folder2/fileyourelookingfor.zip

or try using a file manager and searching for the file
