Add app to home

Has anyone found a way in the new Samsung to STOP adding a new page to home screen when just wanting to add an app.... I hate how it creates a new page for each app. There has to be a way.

Google Play>3 dot menu>scroll down>settings>add app to home screen>uncheck, not a samsung thing.

I'm not talking auto adding... From the app drawer if I press and hold an app the select add to home it creates a whole new page and adds it.

Long press on the app and you can drag it to the home screen. Once that dialogue comes up still long pressing it I move it to the right and I drag to my home screen. If that's not it I give up. lol
