adding a comcast email account?

Wow - I love my Motorola Droid. I had no idea what I've been missing.

Q: is it possible to add my comcast email account in addition to my gmail account? Some people still use comcast and I'd like to have access to both accounts.

In the "add accounts" section, I only have corporate, facebook and gmail.

yes it is possible.. go to your email app and add the account
the settings are as follows
incoming:
username
password
pop3 = mail.comcast.net
port = 110
security = none
delete from sever is up to you

outgoing
smtp = smtp.comcast.net
port =587
security = none
require check-in = yes
username
password


when it asks to do setup at the beginning click manual and enter those settings

Hook answered this on a separate thread. The trick was to go to the "email" application rather than "settings".

Looks like it works like a champ.

Curious - why is K-9 mail better?

Also, I was disappointed that the voice dial from my blue tooth head set (moto H720) does not work with my moto droid. Moto blamed it on the OS.

K-9 is better in many ways. It doesn't repeatedly show emails you've already read as new, it has a ton more options - all around better by far. I think most people use it.
