adding widget to unlock screen

Can a widget be added to the screen used to unlock it? So you can see weather or something else at a glance?

I have not found a way, but there may be a app for it.. I haven't looked but this is a good question.

I did not try the first recommendation which was Lock 2.0, but I did use Flyscreen. I actually didn't like it that much. It wasn't too bad to customize but it just didn't seem to work right for me. But if you are looking for a "widgeted" unlock screen that's the way to go!
