address book question, droid to Outlook 07

Hey guys, new boy here. I have 1700 address I need to copy into my new laptop using Outlook 07, in Windows 7. When I export from my Motorola Droid2 (verizon), will it copy or move the files onto the sd card ? I am afraid I might lose every thing.

All the articles I read are the other way around...outlook to droid.

Export your contacts from your google account, then import them into outlook. Not sure what the exact procedure is, so look it up in microsoft help forum. Course you could probably figure it out just digging in the menus.
