I'm on phone number 6 right now (all have an issue with the mic fading out for the other caller). I called this morning again and they claimed it must be a tower issue. So now they want me to track all my calls that this happens on. After that they will review my calls and THEN send me another droid replacement. So I have to deal with this issue until I get it to happen to me 10 times.

I had so many call quality problems with my D1 that this is the first thing I did when I got my D2. Since having my D2 I have not had a single person complain about call quality.
VZW just bumped me up to a D2 also, after a dead screen-Droid was replaced by a peeling keyboard-Droid.
I was really happy with the performance of my 1ghz D1 running UD and BB -- anyone else made this jump? I'm a bit concerned that things wont be as smooth with this new phone.
I just did mine under the 1 year whatever warranty. I took the phone with the dead screen in, and no questions asked, they sent me a CLNR. No insurance or anything special.
When the CLNR with the peeling keyboard came in, I called in and explained what was up, and no questions asked, they upped me to a Droid 2. They asked me what accessories I had, and if I cared that the battery cover on the new phone would be a different color than the phone itself (black for D1, bluish for D2). Easy peasy.
