After Kit Kat-Display goes Blank Powered Off

3 times since my Kit-Kat update on Sunday my display will go blank. Tapping the power button does not restore the display, it requires a long press of the power button and a power on to restore the display.
Any ideas?

Have you tried a battery pull for a good minute?

Also considering it is a major update, although not required, a factory reset is common practice after these updates to make sure everything runs smoothly.

Factory reset is always great idea on updates such as KK

I have done the battery pull. Factory reset requires a lot of rebuild time. I am going to monitor for now.

Yes a factory reset requires alot of setup time, but as a former "flash-o-holic" it's far less painful to do that than it is to try and eliminate a problem, for me at least. I used to go through ROMs every other day so resetting was never a big deal to me as long as I had my basic apps and all my text messages.

About 26 hours since the last failure and subsequent battery pull with no failures.. Wait and see.
