I've read several threads on this, most are several months old with no resolution.
I got 2 aftermarket batteries, though they have the correct Motorola label, for my Droid X. When I try to charge either in the phone I get a message that the device battery is invalid & to replace the battery with an original Motorola battery. Also, the battery level indicator on the phone doesn't read the level correctly. It shows a question mark. 3rd party apps just shows 100% without changing.
The batteries work fine, but need to be charged in an external charger. The batteries do have the correct Motorola label. So not sure why they don't register correctly.
I read that the batteries worked fine before the 2.2 upgrade. I got mine after I had already performed the upgrade.
Is there a fix for this issue?
