alarm clock app that will power up phone?

I have a friend who's alarm clock will work even with the phone powered off. Is there an alarm clock app for the Moto Droid that will work even if I have the phone powered down?

Not that I've ever seen...

BlackBerrys are the only device I know of that has this Hardware feature.

Just out of curiosity - why power off the Droid? You can practically make it drain no juice by switching on Airplane Mode and turning off the screen.

This is true. I had mine on airplane mode for 2 whole days, i.e. 48 hours, and Battery Life widget didn't register any drain in the battery, granted the widget has resolution of 10%.
