Alarm clock vibrate only

The stock alarm clock will not make a sound-vibrate only. This happened suddenly and I cannot figure out how to correct this.
I did the usual settings-sounds, etc. and checked the menu in the alarm as well.

Go to the screen that you use to set your alarm clock then click on the ringtone you are going to use it will bring up a menu of different sounds then use the volume rocker to adjust the volume of the alarm.
