Ally Dual Clock Widget

I was playing with my new Ally and tried the Dual Clock widget. Once I saw what it was I removed it. I noticed the other day that I have an application running each time I start my phone called the Dual Clock Updateservice. I no longer have this widget displayed but this service starts on reboot.

I'd like to hear from other Ally owners. Does your phone have this service running all the time, even if you don't use the dual clock widget? Do all Allys run this service unnecessarily? Does anybody know how to stop it permanently? Advanced Task killer will stop it (I can also do this manually from settings-applications-running services), but I don't think I should have to.

Thanks,
Ken
