Alright so I need to root an Eris...

So Ive been searching around and keep finding ways to root the eris but the links are removed over at xda and was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction? I cannot use android master tool because of windows xp. Also what is the most popular stable and fast rom for the eris???

1st things first. What boot loader do you have? If its 1.49, you are SOL.

I have all the files on my computer at work. Even if you upgraded to android 2.1 I can tell you how to root the eris and install a custom rom in 40 minutes. Make sure the scroll ball on your eris works before starting.

I believe some one on this forum created a post in light of the one from XDA and updated the download links.
