Hey all,
Not sure if people are still having problems with DoubleTwist being too slow when it's trying to import all your iTunes music, but I was having problems since November. DoubleTwist would take at least 7 days to import my music (I have 170gb) which I manage through iTunes.
Well I just discovered MusicBee MusicBee - Music Manager and Player which synchronizes all your music/ album art and iTunes playlists at your will. The initial import from iTunes took about 2 hours.
After this, all your album art and playlists are available on MusicBee which you can then use to synchronize specific playlists on your phone.
1. Mount your Droid to your comp
2. Make a folder on your SD card (call it music or whatever)
3. Go into MusicBee and go to manage your devices (edit, preferences).
4. Select the name of the folder you made to synchronize
5. Select detect MTP devices and go under Device Settings
6. Choose the playlist you want on your phone
7. Synchronize....all your playlists and album art is now transferred
8. Now unmount your Droid
9. Go into the Market and get the free app Meridian Player
10. Meridian is able to recognize your m3u playlists, album art etc. that you made from iTunes
Now I'm sure there is an easier method out there, but this worked fine for me.
