Amazon Wireless - How soon do they get new phones?

I just wonder if there's normally some kind of lag, or if they get new phones at release. I would like to pick up the T-Mobile G2X, but would prefer Amazon because I can get the MyTouch 4G for the wife cheaper at the same time.
