In case you missed the news late last night, Google just released the first update to Lollipop. Android 5.0.1 (build LRX22C) just hit the AOSP, and factory images for the Wi-Fi Nexus 9, Nexus 7 (2013) and Nexus 10 tablets are already available as well.

This update seems to address at least two bugs. This includes the factory reset bug and a problem that ruins video playback on the Nexus 7 (2013). Google hasn't officially released any specific info on what the update addresses, so there could be even more to it.

We expect the final update to begin rolling out fairly soon since this is already available as a factory image. For those who don't want to wait, you can get the factory images at the download link below.

I suppose it's time to try lollipop again on my Nexus 7.

I was looking forward to trying it on my Nexus 7 but can't now that I'm in the Office for Android test group. To use it you must be running 4.4 and not lollipop
