Android agenda widget can't add event

Hi, I feel like a I pose a new technical question/issue every other day. Very grateful for all the help from people who know what they are doing. I am using the android agenda widget on my rooted droid x, and the add event button does not seem to be functioning at all. I would prefer not to have to unroot, reroot, and set up all my settings again, unless this is my only option. I am wondering if there is a workaround for adding events to the widget?

I have uninstalled and installed the app over again, but can't seem to get the button working.

Edit: I restored my phone to the maderstcok2.3.34 version, and the widget is working fine. I was using the Liberty ROM for the previous section, so this thread should probably be moved to that section of the forums. I'm not sure how to do that though.
