Android beam/S beam

Will Android beam on the nexus work with S beam on the Samsung galaxy S3?

And what are the differences between the two?

I've wondered the same thing. I know it won't work with large files because the sgs3 use wifi direct where the nexus uses Bluetooth, but I'm not sure about the basic beam stuff that actually transfers through nfc.

The S3 does have android beam I transferred pictures from my nexus to my S3 on Friday. When I asked this question I did not know that the S3 had Android beam

Good to know. Didn't know if beam would still work right on it with samsung's modifications.
