Android Kindle

I just got my Droid X phone and I'm really excited about it. However, I must be missing something because so far I haven't been able to download anything I purchase from Amazon into the Android Kindle app. I am totally new to the Android system so I am guessing that the problem is me. Can anyone give me a step by step process of doing this? I have a gmail address, an Amazon account (which is not my gmail address). I went through the whole process and purchased a book but when I check the archives.....it's not there.

I did this at the Verizon Kiosk and the sales person couldn't figure out why it wasn't downloading either.

Any help here would be greatly greatly appreciated!

Thanks ahead of time!!!

Hopefully helpful?

While I don't have a Droid X dancedroid, I do have a Motorola Droid :motdroidhoriz: and the process should be the same.

The issue appears to be that you need to associate your Kindle for Android application with your Amazon account. If you already put information in using your Google email address, you may first need to "de-register" your kindle application. To do so, simply open your Kindle application, hit your menu button, and select "Information." There will be an option to de-register the device. Once you *don't* have it registered, close the Kindle application and re-open it. Then simply re-register using the email address that you use for your Amazon account and your amazon password. Once you do that, your Kindle books should start appearing on your device.

Note: If you have another device (computer, another phone, Kindle) that is also registered to your account, books may not show up automatically. If they do not, simply hit your menu button and select "Archived Items." All of your Kindle books should show up there and can be downloaded, sync'ed, and read at your convenience.

Hope this helps! dancedroid I'm not an expert, but I'll be happy to try to answer any further questions. :)
