Android tablet vs Lapdock 100

I know this may seem like an odd comparison, but I really would like some advice on it. I have a large laptop for school and its really a pain for lugging to class when needed. I've been thinking of getting something more portable to have with me when I need a full computer. Now each one has its advantages and disadvantages but I need some help of what you guys think and any experiences you've had.

Lapdock 100:
- Cheaper
- Uses 4g from my RAZR
- Full keyboard included
- One device on a different screen

Tablet:
- Touchscreen
- Use as EFB(Electronic Flight Bag - I'm a pilot)
- More portable
- Textbooks downloadable

Sorry if this dumb for you guys but I really would like some help on this. Any other info you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Tablets I would consider include: Transformer Prime, Original Transformer, Galaxy Tab, Xyboard Wi-Fi
