There was plenty of hype surrounding Andy Rubin's me too Essential phone. The phone sports all the specs you would expect from a modern flagship such as a Snapdragon 835 cpu, 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and even some features you wouldn't expect like modular accessories. The phone was scheduled to ship within 30 days of announcement. Eager fans put in their preorders and the 30 day period ended June 29th. We are more than a week away from that date and the phones have still yet to ship. The company has given no explanation as to why the device has not shipped. This doesn't bode well for a first impression.

don't make promises you cannot keep for technical reasons. however as the previous post stated, it is best not to release an unfinished phone or one with a lot of bugs.

Don't make promises you can't keep. End users royally hate that. See how ticked of Zenwatch owners are because Asus's AW 2.0 update was later then PROMISED.
