animated radar

I use to use intellicast on my storm two to see animated radar. It doesn't seem to be animated on my droid. Do I have a setting wrong, or does anyone have a different site or program they recommend?

There are several apps that have animated radar. I believe the Weather Channel does, but unfortunately my Droid isn't near by but I can't confirm.

Anybody else have some weather apps they can recommend with animated radar?

I like Radar Now only because it's the only one that shows an animated version of radar.

My Xscope browser doesn't even show animated radar from most sites, it's something to do with the way these weather sites broadcast animated Giffs's.

Here is a workaround:

Android Mock Animated GIF

Uses NOAA radar. The "FMKX" in the url is for Milwaukee's Radar loop.

Here is a list of all radar sites. Just swap out FMKX and replace with a different site.

All US NOAA radar sites sorted by city name

Found out how to do this on this site comment 99:

Issue 3422 - android - Animated GIF not working in browser - Project Hosting on Google Code

I didn't like Radar now because it was too limited. Plus with this I am able to pinch and zoom in the browser and choose a different radar site unlike Radar now.

Radar now is ok, however I'd prefer that I can zoom in if possible.

Being a pilot, it helps. :)

Truly, I like iMap Weather, for the radar presentation, and you can:

Loop it, set transparency.

Only drawback to me is it is kinda slow, don't know if it is because of google maps integration or not. (emailed googel and imap, thought what if they could make a wx radar layer for our maps app, that might work out better).

But for presentation, I love it when it's up and looping!

I liked it. It was really slow. I left my hotel room for 20 minutes with a full battery and when I got back my batter was almost dead. I looked and it said the radar program was the reason. Did I do something wrong?

i like radar now, but I am looking for one I can see most of the US with. When I am flying I end up covering a lot of ground. the ones suggested are just local only. thanks in advance.

Try rainy days. Long press zoom out double tap zoom in quick press play/pause animation. About the only thing it does is show the weather.
