My current idea is to purchase a used pay phone and somehow connect it to my cell phone so that I can place and receive calls. I know of devices that can be connected to landlines but they require their own phone number and I don't want to add a line. Are there any devices that I could use Bluetooth to send my call into the landline phone?

I've thought about doing this. But I think a home VoIP solution that utilizes a free service would be better. Well, guess the only free (currently) is GVoice. Would have to figure out how to hack to a VoIP to work with, Google Talk I think it is.

Then, instead of a bluetooth hack, you use Google Voice to send calls to your cell and VoIP. To also get the reverse, you would have to port your cell number to GVoice (or get people to use your GV number exclusively).
