Any Music Geniuses Here? I Need Help!!!

So I have been using my Droid 2 as my music player and have, over the last several weeks downloaded several songs directly to my phone. I decided to try to sync my phone with my computer using Windows Media Player in hopes to back up my songs and possibly put them on my old droid should I ever need to use it.

So I run the sync and now only a small percentage of my music, maybe 200 out of about 1,000, are actually showing upon either WMP or Mixzing player on my D2. When I go into my SD card I can see several what appear to be folders with artists titles on them that appear to be the songs that are not showing up. Any idea what may have gone wrong and what I might be able to do to remedy this issue?

I've never done this type of sync before, but is it possible that the songs from WMP overwrote the songs on your D2? Always need to be mindful of any 'sync' operations. i find it easier to just mount the sdcard to PC and manually move files to and fro. At least that way I know exactly what is being moved and to where. Hope you find your songs!

  1. I had a similar problem with windows media and decided to sync with Itunes using iTunes Agent, I started using 6+ months ago without any problems. You can also just use the old drop and drag method by attching phone to computer via USB open you my music file and move what yo want b, but I prefer the itunes agt.
