Any recommended apps or tools for tuning and cleaning up clutter?

My moto droid's apps and system seem to be getting slower and slower ... Since the smartphone acts and functions sort of like a mini computer, I would imagine that it gets cluttered and sluggish like a computer does without maintenance. Computers have tools and programs for cleaning and speeding things up...
my question is: Are there any similar tools or apps that can do the same for the droid?

if you have rooted your phone then cache cleaner or cache cleaner ng work excellent

If you're rooted we have plenty of options. If you're not rooted than about the only thing that's really going to help is a hard reset.

I did not know that there was an unrooted app for that. I guess there is an app for that.
