Any way to change the background Universal Inbox and Music apps?

I find the reverse contrast (black background/white letters) , especially in the Universal Inbox, to be difficult for me to read and frankly, a little depressing. Is there any way to change the background for the Universal Inbox, Music Player and possibly Contacts?
