Any way to make screen lock and unlock with a button?

Hey guys, just got my phone yesterday, so I'm new here. My X2 is running Android 2.2 and I'm sure everyone knows about this problem. You can't turn off the screen lock. But I downloaded an app that disables it, so that's okay.

But what I want to do is be able to lock it and unlock it with a button. I downloaded another app that puts a lock button widget on the homescreen, but it seems to conflict with the disabled lock app.

Any ideas?

I kind of fixed it I guess, I put the "No Lock" app widget on the homepage, so I can just enable locking and press the power button when I need to put it in my pocket. Anyone know if disabling the lock, or more lock options, will be available in 2.3?
