Anybody know of an app/home replacement besides Home++ that hides status bar?

I'm tired of looking at my all white status bar and I have already weighed the options of rooting/waiting for a 2.1 root solution. However, in the meantime I really want to rid that all white eye sore on my home screen without having to use Home++ which doesn't have live wallpaper support, or the custom app slider that GDE has.

I would be greatful for any apps or new home replacement ideas.

There is a new version of Helixlauncher2 that works for DROID and allows you to hide the notification bar.

THIS IS NOT THE CURRENT VERSION OF HL2 IN THE MARKET, DO NOT PUT THAT ON YOUR DROID.

I got the file off of a different forum yesterday and it still needs a little work, but that is what is in the works.

DO NOT GO TO THE MARKET AND PUT HELIXLAUNCHER2 ON YOUR DROID RIGHT NOW...YOU'LL BE SORRY.
