It has charging issues over the long term.. The base is magnetic to guide the watch into it.. That works, but sometimes the watch still doesn't charge..
I've had issues where I've had to reboot it to get it to charge..

I was at the store when it caught my eye, so yea. If I hadn't seen it in person, I wouldn't be asking either. It's not as big as I thought (which is good).

I think the Asus Zenwatch is the one I would get IF I was hardcore into watches. I'm not at all. I just want to play with one for awhile which is where that $100 sweet spot fits for me.
I like the R but I don't like the minutes around the face like that.
Let us know what you think! I'm still on the fence myself. I really only wear a watch at work, but I think if I had one of these to play with, I'd definitely wear it more often.
I'm like you though, for a toy, $100 seems to be a decent place to be. That's better than spending $200-250 and being disappointed.
If I buy a $100 smartwatch, I can always just assumed I got a good deal and would've had a better experience with a more expensive one.
Haha!
I like the minimalistic design of the thing and the fact that it's waterproof, even if water registers as touches (according to the Android Authority video).
I might swing by VZW after work and at least look around and play. That can't hurt, right?
I was actually impressed with VZW. In the store, it's actually loose, not attached like all the phones are. So you can put it on. I was surprised that I didn't hate the fit. lol And it's not huge like some are.
That's gonna be my thing. I'll want to put it on for a minute and check it out. The watch I'm wearing now is rather large and square-ish, so I think it should be a pretty easy transition, except that this watch is metal and that's rubber and plastic, but I wore that "sporty" style watch before my promotion.
