Anyone have an LG G watch?

On sale at VZW for $100.
My Xmas bonus was $100.
I'm thinking that's not a coincidence. :D
Looked at one today. Not a bad deal for $100, I think.

Any owners here?

If it was for the R, I wouldn't be asking. I'd own it. ;)

Seemed pretty nice though. Nice ENOUGH for $100. Pretty sure I wouldn't pay $200 for it.

Agreed. No speaker or camera, but I can't see myself using it to talk on the phone or take many pictures, so $100 isn't bad.

Any idea if this is online only? Would like to check it out in store first.

Android authority has a decent review video on it.

It has charging issues over the long term.. The base is magnetic to guide the watch into it.. That works, but sometimes the watch still doesn't charge..

I've had issues where I've had to reboot it to get it to charge..

Would you buy it again for $100?

I'm torn because all the talk lately has me wanting one, but I know I should wait until tax time & spend a bit more on something better.

I was at the store when it caught my eye, so yea. If I hadn't seen it in person, I wouldn't be asking either. It's not as big as I thought (which is good).

I then checked if it was $100 online, too. It is.
Yeah. I checked online after seeing your post here. Haha!

I think the Asus Zenwatch is the one I would get IF I was hardcore into watches. I'm not at all. I just want to play with one for awhile which is where that $100 sweet spot fits for me.
I like the R but I don't like the minutes around the face like that.

I'm going to go get it today.
I'll report back.

Let us know what you think! I'm still on the fence myself. I really only wear a watch at work, but I think if I had one of these to play with, I'd definitely wear it more often.

I'm like you though, for a toy, $100 seems to be a decent place to be. That's better than spending $200-250 and being disappointed.

If I buy a $100 smartwatch, I can always just assumed I got a good deal and would've had a better experience with a more expensive one.

Haha!

I like the minimalistic design of the thing and the fact that it's waterproof, even if water registers as touches (according to the Android Authority video).

I might swing by VZW after work and at least look around and play. That can't hurt, right?

I was actually impressed with VZW. In the store, it's actually loose, not attached like all the phones are. So you can put it on. I was surprised that I didn't hate the fit. lol And it's not huge like some are.

That's gonna be my thing. I'll want to put it on for a minute and check it out. The watch I'm wearing now is rather large and square-ish, so I think it should be a pretty easy transition, except that this watch is metal and that's rubber and plastic, but I wore that "sporty" style watch before my promotion.
