Anyone have dead pixels?

I found one, and its very hard to find........but I may exchange it. I can see it best using a pixel test app. Its only one, so I'm torn on bothering to resetup a phone and go through the process of swapping.

if phones are anything like TV's there are a minimum number of pixels that need to die before they will replace it.
TV's are usually like 5 or so.

i have 1 dead pixel on my thunderbolt and i only notice it on a completely black/white screen.
since the Pixels are smaller on the nexus, i can't imagine it would be very noticeable.

It was in the middle and my eyes gravitated towards it all the time because I knew it was there. They exchanged it for me no prob, after I showed it to them. Now resetting up my new one LOL.

I feel like as phones get more and more pixels, dead ones will become more of an issue and manufacturers may come up with some sort of policy like TVs requiring a certain number of dead pixels for a replacement.

EDIT: Just downloaded a pixel test app for mine, and as hard as I could look, I don't think I found any. There were a few times I thought i did, but then I realized it was just a spec of dust and brushed it away. Is there a trick to finding them? LOL Either way, I'm super happy with the display aside from the graininess at low brightness levels.

Well the first time I saw mine, as in Gmail or email app when the screen has a lot of grey/white to it, the pixel was a light blue color. In the pixel test app with the red screen it would be a black pixel. Mine was almost dead center or I might have never noticed. But once my eyes saw it I would notice it all the time.

There is a difference between "dead" pixels and "stuck" pixels. If the pixel is dead, it's just black or whatever. If it's stuck, it will show up blue, green, red etc...

You can fix stuck ones. I don't think you can fix "dead" ones unless someone came up with something to fix that problem recently. I dealt with this many years ago with a TV.

Programs to fix stuck ones are simple little things that flash different colors across the whole screen at a very very high rate. After a while the pixel goes back to normal.
