An app that will take set of dates and times, and install them as events in your calendar. Example: I want to put all 162 dodger games this season into my calendar on my droid, but I don't want to manually put them in one by one.have you heard of something that can do this or something like it? I can't imagine it would be too hard to come up with something like it.

I don't know of an app, but you can go here
and download the ical (not the cvs) and then go to
google calendar, create a new calendar or import it into
you your default calendar at google.

Instructions
Google Calendar
(Any computer with a web browser)
Go to http://www.google.com/calendar and sign in. If you do not have a Google Account create one using the link provided at the bottom of the page.
Click on "Add" in the "Other Calendars" box located at the bottom of the menu on the left.
Under Add select "Add by URL".
Copy and paste the URL of the iCalendar file into the pop up window. The new calendar will now appear and is accessible from the My Calendars menu located on the left hand side of the screen.

if you go into google calendar and go to left hand side there is a part that has "other calenders" hit "add" then "browse interesting calenders" you will find sports and then you can find MLB and then you can find the Dodgers and it will add them to your calender with all the dates and times.

this WONT work.. follow the first method.

this method wont put them on your phone, just on your computer..trust me i tried both

You have to then select it as a calendar you want to sync on your phone.

your wrong. it does work. you have to go into your google account on phone and tell it to sync that calendar to phone. Its the simplest way to do it. I have all my favorite teams on there and it works. If it doesnt work for you its cause you dont know what your doing.

no you are wrong. it only works if you go through some external site and add it

http://www.droidforums.net/forum/dr...alendars-other-external-calendars-google.html

Yes... it won't sync external calendars.

But what Truk is talking about isn't an external calendar. It's a google calendar that he's follwoing.

Droid lets you sync any of the google calendars you follow right from the phone.

The import trick is for calendars that exist outside of Google calendars.

So you're both right. Now give each other a big kiss to make up.

Yep, gotta agree that it does not work with the Truk method. You get the cal in google on the web fine, but that calendar is not listed on the Droid to sync.

I gotta say, doesn't work for me either. I'm subscribed on my pc, have all sync on, but it doesn't show up on it's own or when I go to My Calendars.... US Holidays was already listed under "other calendars" by default and when I turned sync on my phone on, it added all the holidays but not the team schedule. Holidays also showed up in My Calendars on my phone. Now I unsubscribed to US Holidays, and it's no longer listed in My Calendars but on my actual calendar monthly view, I still have indicators for all the holidays but when I select any of them, it doesn't find anything (obviously, since I'm unsubscribed, but the indicators are still showing up) .....

Sorry TruK, it's not working for me either. For some reason, only the sports section of "interesting calendars" won't sync with my phone. I've tried several of the other calendars and they all work fine, but the sports ones don't show up on my phone.

I'd like this to work though, any suggestions?

All the other options such as days of the week, moon phases, etc work fine. They seem to be disabling the sports calendar links. The other method is just as easy and works.

Guess you are the lucky one Truk, though I do have to question your team choices.
