Anyway To Bypass Activation Screen?

I picked up an S3 on Swappa. I'm currently using a 4S and am debating on switching to the S3, but I want to be able to play with it first before making my decision. I've used Android a ton before, and even picked up a Nexus7, so I kinda know what I'm doing...but for the life of me, I CANNOT get passed the activation screen. I don't want to activate it, I just want to be able to use it on wi-fi. I've tried all the tricks I can think of, but would love to hear some more from you guys if you know how to bypass it. Thanks!!
