AOSP help Apex 1.4.1

Ok...I am up to Apex 1.4.1.. I am wanting to give AOSP email and SMS a shot. I keep getting the double messages and such. Previously I was using handscent for my SMS and the inherint Email program.

Do I need to uninstall handscent to get rid of the SMS double messaging?

What do I need to do for the email to get rid of the double messages. I keep getting the red @ on my status bar saying I have X number of msgs that are unread...

suggestioins?

Go into handcent and uncheck the box next to notifications under settings. Same for email.

Thanks...handscent no problem but email the aospis the only setting I see...I will play around..
May.still do a little blur but thought I would try blurless
