Hello,

I would like to help you and provide a valid answer to your question however I am not sure exactly what you are asking. When you say the "general APPLICATION menu", are you referring to your "App Tray" (the list of installed apps that pops up when you hit the center icon on the home screen?)
If so, since that menu only shows "Apps", it can not show a shortcut to an app - afaik. Since shortcuts were designed to be immediately available from the home screen (a spill-over from the desktops of IOS and Windows), there is no purpose in them being listed in the Apps section. Also, since they are typically named the same as the app, there would be naming conflicts.
When you create App Actions, it will place a shortcut to the app wth the command parameters you've specified already contained in the code. When you select that shortcut, it in turn "calls" the app and supplies the command parameters to the app as part of the command used to run the app. Apps that are written properly are able to receive values to a set of pre-determined variables so they can be automated in this fashion.
If this information wasn't helpful, please see if you can clarify the question and please be more specific with your needs. I (or someone else) will do our best to find the answer you need.
