App drawer phone/browser buttons

There seems to be a lot of interest in the 2.1 app drawer, particularly for the phone and browser buttons on either side. Unfortunately, the 2.1 app drawer is buggy in landscape.

Home++ and GDE offer ways to add these, but they add bloat many of us are not looking for.

Does anyone know if a simple app has been made that adds just these two buttons (so they're accessible on any screen), but don't saddle your phone with all the other baggage? I'd pay for this if it were available...

why don't you just put the phone and brower app on all your screens? maybe i'm not understanding your question.

They eat up screen space unnecessarily. HTC/the 2.1 browser/etc have an elegant solution which I wish were available alone on the Droid.
