App for Instant Email?

Hi i just got my phone and was just wondering if there was an app that would send instant notification to your phone when someone emailed you. When i say instant i mean withing 10 seconds. I tried using the gmail app but its not instant it takes 10+ minutes before i get a notifaction. Is there a way to maybe configure it? and also would like the same for my hotmail account. thanks

k9 email seems to push within seconds. cause ive forwarded emails from my work blackberry to my droid and its way faster with k9 then it was with gmail.
