APP for reminder list

I have Home++ and Astride. I would like the ability to make a list that would be shown or superimposed on the main screen. And, be able to easily cross them off, or delete them

Do I already have what I need, but am too stupid to utilize it?
Thank you for any help.

Astrid has a widget which will show you tasks on the screen but I don't really like it as it's a bit clunky. However, it allows quick entry, cross-off, ect. I also use Pure Calendar Widget, which displays a beta Astrid tasklist as my main reminder interface along with upcoming google cal entries. It allows editing of google cal enries but not astrid ones. Together they work great (if not a bit redundantly) to provide both eyecandy (if you care) and function. See below for examples of the same list being displayed in both:

I like that second one. You said that shows upcoming Google calendar events. Do you know if it shows Google Tasks as well? I'm getting a Droid in a few days so I'm not quite sure how it works yet, but I currently use Tasks on my computer. Something like this would be really useful.

I use any number of free calander widets that give alerts for appointments for tasks. When I had a blackberry I never used the task function because it seemed redundant with the calender.

i use OI Shopping list. it's very simple and you can make any type of list not just shopping and mark things off as you do them.

I like the OI shopping. It is faster/easier to set up and go. Is there anyway to make it show up on the main screen? I see where Astrid tasks are shown, but did not see how to accomplish that result.
Thanks

this isnt a widget. you long press on the screen and select shortcut, oi shopping list, then which list you want. :D

Thanks for the help. Sometimes, I guess the most obvious or last resort IS the answer.
Thanks again.
