App Icons sometimes go away

Randomly my app icons will go away and switch to the blue tv screen with the gear in front and i cannot get them back unless i re-install the app, is there a fix for this?

Oh how I wish I had an easy answer for you.
Well, I do. The easy answer is: you can't.
Not easily.
However, you can make things better, but it's a somewhat complicated process.
