App installer problem

I have been using 'app installer'(downloaded from market) for saving .apk files..but when I install the apps having size more than 2mb..like astro file manager or any other app having size more than 2mb then it displays 'out of space'message..the memory is very much free..what would b the reason?

Why aren't you installing from the Market? Are the apps not available to you through the Market?

For large applications it is difficult to download it everytime you want to install..
