App to SD weirdness.

I am gathering that this is a known issue prior to the Bionic but I am not sure on that. If I take an app and move it to media (standard allowed apps, no root or trickery here) sometimes it breaks the icon or completely breaks the app. Some of them I can fix by just deleting the shortcut and creating a new one. Others it is as if I never installed them, and I have to reinstall them. Is this a gingerbread thing or what?

Some examples: Rainy Days, Copilot Live versions 8 and 9, Pandora, Angry Birds and GPS Essentials. However many many other apps move with no problems at all. I should also add that after a few attempts I am able to get them over to the SD card with success, there have been no permanent failures.

had this problem twice yesterday, the first time about 15 apps died, the 2nd time, 11 apps died. so far this morning, all is well but was rather annoying yesterday.
