App to use the Xoom as your remote?

I'm jw is there is an app out so I can use my Xoom as my remote for my TV/cable?

Depends on the TV. I have a Samsung and there is an app in the market that works like the full remote. It operates through WiFi. Doesn't do anything for the cable box, so it's real world use is limited, since it won't change the channels.

If you have GoogleTV it can be used. Maybe even DirectTV has an app.

A tradition remote uses IR, Xoom isn't equipped with it.

i dont remember what its called but theres an infrared controller you can buy and hook to pc and it will control any IR device via wifi

Sketchbook is probably the coolest thing to happen to android.. pro is 2.99 i think but express is free and has all the same features as far as i can tell!!:icon_ banana::icon_ lala:

I discovered something new tonight. Using the Samsung TV Remote app on my Xoom, I am able to turn on and operate my Sony BluRay player through Anynet+ . Doesn't seem like much, but it's pretty convenient, and kinda cool.
