Application not Installed

Everytime I try and update my apps, I get the error of Application Not Installed. I've tried

-Unmounting then remounting the SD Card
-Formatting the SD Card
-Clearing Cache of Market

Any other solutions

What is your firmware? Is it 5.5.893? Unfortunately the SD card (or to be exact SD-EXT) is not where the apps are stored. You might want to go into Menu>Manage Apps>Media Area. Make sure none are checked.

Sounds like a "media area" problem. Go to settings > manage applications, then to the "media area" tab at the top. Scroll down the list and make sure NOTHING is checked. Any that are, click and then "move to phone".

I have this happen frequently with 2-3 specific apps, installed via the Amazon appstore. Even if you are not explicitly choosing an installation to the media area, some apps seem to install themselves there by default. Do as TatDroid suggested and double-check.

The other thing you can do is get everything installed as you like it and then make an app backup using Astro. That makes it very easy to reinstall specific apps if something goes wrong later.
