apps closing at screen timeout

I cannot figure out where the setting is to stop the app closing everytime the screen goes dark. Any ideas? Thanks

I should add; rooted, running CleanROM Developer Edition 1.2 if it matters.

I may. That is the setting I am going crazy trying to find.

It's under developer options "Background process limit"

When I open that, the choice selected is standard limit. I don't think I am in the right option. Apparently, not enough coffee yet so step by step please. LOL

Cripes. Ok, last thing without really starting to reach. Did you run the RUU to the ICS leak or did you use the old firmware patch? If the leak, did you flash twice, if the old firmware patch, try re-flashing it. If neither...there's your problem lol.

Face palm! I finally figured it out. I installed widget locker and one of the settings was after unlock return to home instead of the app. Unchecked and all is good again.
