Is there any way to push and install apps to the X using ADB?

IMO you will risk bricking the X, And there is no SBF file to re-flash it.

Does that mean you got your X back up and running shafer after the botched factory reset?

Yes the X is back up and running! I pushed the gtalkservice.apk to the system of the X. I had to do another factory reset for it to completely work. I can now download apps from the market again!! Big thanks to Dom!
