Are screenshots possible w/o rooting?

In order to take screenies without being rooted you have to use the android sdk. I have heard that a couple of the screenshot apps will do it if you're not rooted. I don't know tho been rooted since day one. Just download them off the market and try

Sorry I wasn't very clear. I believe the app is called shoot me?? Its for rooted devices but I've heard of it working on some unrooted devices as well

Unfortunately in order to take screenshots without rooting, you would need the SDK as mentioned above. Even though I am rooted this is my preferred method. Not quite as simple as the apps in the market, especially if you don't have the SDK setup already. Still doable though.

Cupfull... I don't even know what sdk is. I'm not technically challenged but I'm also not that advanced. Now it feels like too much work just to capture a screenshot of a dumb text msg or email, etc. Lol.

I just read the link in ur reply. Now after I do all that's listed does my phone need to be linked to my pc each time I wanna take a screen shot? Or is that just initial set up?

Yes, it is possible to take screenshots without being rooted.
No need for sdk installation.
Check out MyPhoneExplorer.
Phone needs to be hooked up to a PC via USB though.
