Even though the Asus Zenfone 2 was announced back in November, Asus decided to give it a small enhancement before its final release. Originally, the phone had a 2.3GHz Intel chip. According to Asus' latest press info, they have bumped it up to 2.5GHz. It's not much of a change, and the rest of the phone remains the same. I guess even small favors should be appreciated.

Here's the rest of the specs for the Zenfone 2:
  • 5.5-inch screen
  • 2.5GHz processor is a 64-bit part and an Intel Atom Z3590 GPU handles graphics
  • 4GB of RAM
  • 128GB & 128GB microSD card
  • 3000mAh internal battery - BoostMaster tech that allows it to be charged up to 60% in 39 minutes
  • Rear covers are removable - Options: Drift Silver cover with facets or Carbon Night with a carbon fiber look
  • LTE
  • Android L
  • 802.11ac
The final release date and pricing have yet to be determined. Here's our dedicated section for the phone: ASUS Zenfone 2

I wish this would come to VZW! I've owned a lot of there products, mostly PC, and have always been happy with them.

I agree..I would jump on this phone in a heart beat. Love to see how an Intel chip works in a mobile device ..
