For those lucky few out there that were able to get their hands on the new ASUS Eee Pad Transformer, a very small unlucky few of them may have been experiencing some problems with their dock. Apparently, it was a minor glitch and affected very few users, but ASUS stepped up and took care of the problem quickly. The problem was software related so they issued a simple firmware update to fix it. Here's a couple of quotes from ASUS' UK Facebook page detailing the fix.
Eee Pad Transformer firmware update 8.2.3.13 released - keyboard dock issues fixed. Don’t forget once you have updated the firmware on the Pad and rebooted, you must then also click on the firmware update icon for the keyboard dock (it will appear as a triangle in the bottom right of the screen). We completed the process on our test unit here with no problems.
Not all units affected. Some had connection problems (so the keys trackpad weren’t responding) and some weren’t allowing charge. The engineers are confident that the frmware update should resolve the glitches.
It's always nice to see a company stand behind and update their products.

I bought mine today!

I got sick of waiting so I paid the extra $100 to get it on ebay.

Got a 16gb for $500. its 400 if i got it from bestbuy but i would have had to wait until third week of july. I think the extrra 100 is worth getting it delivered on monday!

I need a dock now though. The dock is way too expensive. Plus I just dropped $65 on the freedom pro keyboard so its hard to drop another 150 on yet another keyboard. ugh.

I can't wait to get this in my hands.

Any must have apps or things to know?

I want to test the dock before i drop that kind of money but I don't know anyone with one. Does the dock have a speaker or additional USB ports? Why is it so much dough?

The dock has a battery, 2x USB ports, 1 SD slot.
Adds quite a bit to the tablet but I agree $150 causes one to pause a bit.

Full SD card reader, 2 USB ports, a keyboard that has functions for the tablet not stupid F1-10 keys those are changed to do special things for the tablet fast. The dock has a battery about 6.5 additional hours, if you connect the tablet into the dock the dock itself will actually charge your tablet. So say you are out and your tablet is running low connect it to your dock and it will charge while still being able to use it.
