Well that didn't take long... Just a month ago, AT&T announced a special promo which was essentially designed to "entice/bribe" customers away from T-Mobile. In the promo, you could get $200 bucks to switch your service to AT&T from T-Mobile, and you could get up to $250 for trading in your T-Mobile smartphone. This had the potential of netting you $450 bucks total just to come over to AT&T. We keep using the past tense because AT&T has already dropped the promo.

Perhaps someone at AT&T realized how much money they were losing on the promotion, but more than likely, AT&T never intended for it to last. Maybe the whole point was to steal T-Mobile's thunder by taking some of the "shock and awe" value away from T-Mobile's impending similar strategy. Regardless of how effective that turned out to be, T-Mobile's vociferous CEO, John Legere, took to the Twitter-sphere in response to poke fun at AT&T's flip-flop. You can see his perspective in the Twitter pic above.
It's an interesting tête-à-tête going on between the two carriers. Maybe its time to grab some popcorn and hunker down for the big brawl.
