Attaching files from the file directory

Being able to attach files that are not photos into gmail e-mails.
I have files that I want to attach for business. How would one go about attaching something more then just pictures from the gallery?

Or download Astro file manager....and within that application hold/select the file you want to send and when the pop up menu appears select "send". It'll open up gmail and have the file attached waiting for you to input the who, subject and message.
