Attaching ringtone to text

I received a ringtone on a text and saved it to my SD card. I deleted the original text. I want to send the ringtone to my sister-in-law but when I open a new text message and click on attach, I don't have the choice of adding any files from music or something similar. I can't attach the ringtone. I can add pictures, slideshows, record video, but no music.

Am I doing something wrong? Or is this Droid not set up for that?

You should be able to send it with a file explorer. Astro, Root Explorer, etc.
