Audio data lost from Voice Recorder app

Issue: I had my Droid X plugged into my computer and was going over my recordings. I went to "Send" the data and it gave me a notice that there was no data on the SD card. I now understand that these files are saved in the phones internal memory but where did the file go? It's gone. It lets me send it when I'm not plugged in but looses it if I try it when the phone is connected to the computer. WTF?

Make sure you're in charge only mode. It's probably mounting the sd card for access by the computer, which makes it inaccessible to the phone.

The data didn't go anywhere. It's just inaccessible by the phone when the sd card is mounted for the computer.

You set charge only mode by tapping the usb notification.

The data is not showing even when the phone is not connected. It disappears and even when the phone is disconnected the data does not reappear.

I'm guess I'm not real sure what data you're referencing. If you can send it somewhere, it's there. Files don't just delete themselves.

The data (audio file) disappeared from the app (Voice Recorder) when I tried to "Send" it while connected to the computer. Even after I disconnect the phone from the computer it's still gone. As if I deleted it but I didn't.

Found it. It had to do with the Data Synchronization mode. The app and the SD card were not sync'd. Still don't fully understand that put it's cool now. Thanks for the help.
